“One’s destination is never a place, but a new way of seeing things.”
Henry Miller

Pursuing a graduate degree in professional writing is for me about realizing a dream I have kept safely harbored for twenty-five years. When I was a senior at Brigham Young University, I decided to obtain a graduate degree in writing and editing, but I was diverted from this path. Life blossomed for me in a different way. I was soon married and raising a family. After my children became older, I began my career as a paralegal. My time was soon occupied with writing and editing legal documents and providing support in the courtroom. After several years, the desire to write and edit full-time resurfaced. So one day I decided to pursue the path I had long ago abandoned. Traversing that path has taken me on a wonderful journey of both interpersonal and academic discovery.
